Hummingbird Tree Leaves

Indications:

  • Balances pitta and kapha

Preparation:

Ingredients:

  • Hummingbird Tree Leaves – 2 bunches
  • Mung dhal – 1 spoon
  • Mustard – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Red chilly – 1
  • Ghee – 2 tsp
  • Grated coconut – 3 spoons full
  • Rock salt – according to taste

Method:

Add ghee in a deep pan and heat. Season mustard, asafetida, cumin seeds and red chilly. Now add the chopped leaves and mung dhal. Add little rock salt. Stir occasionally and cook till done. Finally add grated coconut and mix well.

Dear sir, I read the health benefits of mint leaves. Many are not aware of this. It is amazing that it can cure digestive disorders, liver disorders, vomiting etc. I thank you sir for the information. This must be made known to the public in popular news papers or TV. I have a personal problem. I have stomach irritation, belching and regurgitation after every meal. English medicines are not very effective. Some kind of home remedy, I shall greatly appreciate.
