Study Shows Outdoor Play Healthy for Children

NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Children who play outside and include various forms of jumping, running and so-called "rough" play activities into their day are healthier, overall, than children who don't. A new study by Canadian researchers reveals the multiple advantages of rough play, not the least of which is psychological wellbeing. Dr. Pankaj Naram notes that there is nothing more important than the health of our children - physical, mental and emotional health.

Master Healer Dr. Pankaj Naram is a recognized expert in pulse healing and the use of herbs and diet for dozens of physical and mental problems. This current research on children's play habits is both informative and revealing. The current state of research, according to Dr. Pankaj Naram, shows it is always augmented by new information. Whether outdoor play that includes rough-and-tumble aspects is the key to mental health and physical stamina in young children remains to be seen. The new report does, however, show that it is a factor.

Some parents attempt to limit the amount of outdoor play that their children are exposed to. The reasons given usually include "It's too risky," or the fact that adults worry about injuries that sometimes accompany rough play. Researchers note, however, that the small risk of minor injury is far outweighed by all the advantages of outdoor activity, especially things like tumbling, climbing, swinging and running.

Well-supervised playgrounds seem to be the key. Children who can be protected from obvious risks like falling and traffic are usually fine on their own, as long as those risk factors are effectively dealt with. Social skills, creativity, resilience and overall health apparently get a boost by all types of outdoor play, according to the study. Dr. Pankaj Naram notes that focus on children's health is for parents and all of society. Although modern research is uncovering little clues here and there, Dr. Pankaj Naram says his 2,500+ year old lineage captured many ancient secrets regarding what helps a child in all three aspects of their health - physically, mentally, and emotionally.  "Many of these secrets help children be more focused, more creative, more independent, less aggressive, more happy," says Dr Giovanni, student of Dr Pankaj Naram. "I am amazed when I see children with autism or ADD/ADHD begin to do things that their parents never expected they could do - and all because of simple secrets in diet, herbs, lifestyle which Dr. Pankaj Naram gives to them."

One very interesting conclusion of recent research is that children who use playgrounds tend to have better social skills than children who don't use them. Apparently, the forced social interaction on playgrounds goes a long way toward teaching kids how to creatively deal with their physical environment and with each other. Dr. Pankaj Naram says that in addition to play, children need to be challenged in other ways too - in order to help them overcome the fear of rejection, and stimulate their creativity and belief in themselves. Dr. Pankaj Naram has worked with famous people as well as the destitute. His work with Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela is well known, as is his loyalty through The Dr Panakj Naram Seva Foundation to the many orphanages in Nepal, India and Tibet who usually have nowhere else to turn when they need help.
