Incorporate Massage, which currently employs 529 people in 41 markets across the nation, is no stranger to innovation. According to Founder and CEO, Amelia Wilcox, the company prides itself on using technology to completely overhaul an industry. Incorporate Massage is the first and only self-service, fully automated tech platform to provide massage events and programs to businesses, making it seamless for companies to schedule and pay for their appointments from anywhere.

As part of the TCIP Grant, participants were required to pitch to venture capitalists about how their technology will create local jobs. Figures released by the state indicate that out of the 130 businesses that applied for the grant, 40 were invited to pitch, and 21 were awarded grants of various amounts. The $100k granted to Incorporate Massage was the maximum applicants were eligible to receive.

"This is an incredible opportunity," said Wilcox. "It was inspiring and challenging to pitch with so many talented people and promising businesses. I'm so excited to continue developing our technology, and what that will mean for our business and industry."

According to Wilcox, Incorporate Massage continues to outpace its own expectations. The company expects to double again in 2018, adding an additional 200 massage therapy jobs, plus another 71 administrative jobs over the next five years—a growth rate that continues to amaze its founder.

"Sometimes it's hard to believe how far we've come. But it's also just as exciting to think that it's just the start. We're going to keep growing, innovating, and providing new opportunities here in Utah and across the country," said Wilcox.
