Robert Lee, PhD, Named President of Particle Sciences

BETHLEHEM, Pa., Aug. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Particle Sciences, Inc. today announced the appointment of Robert W. Lee, Ph.D. to the position of President.

Dr. Lee has been with Particle Sciences for 10 years, most recently serving as its Executive Vice President of Pharmaceutical Services where he focused on both technical and financial matters. Prior to coming to Particle Sciences, Dr. Lee had more than 17 years' experience in pharmaceutical research and development of both therapeutic drugs and diagnostic imaging agents. His areas of expertise include preformulation, drug delivery, formulation development, analytical sciences, sterile manufacturing, and technology evaluation and development. Dr. Lee was one of the founding members of NanoSystems, a drug delivery company focused on the formulation of water-insoluble drugs using high energy media milling. He maintains strong academic ties, including an appointment as Adjunct Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Kansas in 1992, and serving as a reviewer for both the International Journal of Pharmaceutics and Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Robert will be reporting to Barbara Morgan, Ph.D., General Manager of Particle Sciences. Dr. Morgan comments that "Robert comes to this position with deep industry experience and has been instrumental in growing Particle Sciences to its current position as a leading pharmaceutical CDMO of complex drug products." 

Dr. Lee received a Ph.D. in Physical Bioorganic Chemistry under the direction of Professor Thomas C. Bruice from the University of California, Santa Barbara and B.Sc.'s in both Chemistry and Biology from the University of Washington.
