Brown has handed over the keys of No.10 to focus time on his family, committing to 'the most important job' as doting dad. But can Brown beat Cameron to the top spot in 'home affairs' to be crowned Bounty Celebrity Dad of the Year?

The political nominees are joined on the publicly nominated shortlist by 13 other high-profile dads. The line up includes singing sensation Gary Barlow who goes head-to-head with TV personalities Jeff Brazier, Jamie Oliver and Ben Shephard.

Some badly behaving dads still made the shortlist with appearances from Vernon Kay and Mark Owen, however Gordon Ramsey doesn't cut the mustard.

While Peter Andre makes the list, a notable omission is Katie Price's new beau Alex Reid. Though often pictured as doting step-dad, the public have yet to be won over. A year on from their very public divorce, this is surely another win for Team Andre who is a clear winner of the public's hearts.

This summer it's not just the World Cup trophy fellow footballers Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard want to be lifting, as all three make Bounty Celebrity Dad of the Year shortlist.

The dads in line for the top spot are (in no particular order):

    1) Ronan Keating
    2) Peter Andre
    3) Mark Owen
    4) Vernon Kay
    5) Jeff Brazier
    6) Ryan Thomas
    7) Gordon Brown
    8) David Cameron
    9) Frank Lampard
    10) Wayne Rooney
    11) Steven Gerrard
    12) Jamie Oliver
    13) Gavin Henson
    14) Gary Barlow
    15) Ben Shephard
