Young men could be taking anti-baldness drug- finasteride at the cost of their sexual health. The drug’s labeling is inadequate and can cause sexual side effects.

Manufacturers of ‘Propecia’, Merck, claim on its website that less than 2% men could suffer sexual side effects like difficulty achieving erection. But these problems will go away once these men stop taking the drug. The company also said that after receiving reports about the sexual side effects even after discontinuing the medicine, they have changed the labeling of the medicine. According to them such cases are very rare and could be due to something other than Propecia itself.
