Brit Mum’s Addiction to Diet Coke
A 36-year old mum in Britain recounted her addiction to Diet Coke and said that she had to undergo hypnotherapy in order to stop herself from guzzling down four litres of the beverage every day.
Claire Ayton, who works as a teaching assistant, said that she drank seven pints of Diet Coke every day for the past ten years and the habit had cost her over £1,000 a year. She blamed the habit for her weight gain and revealed that she put on 3st in 12 years and was unable to lose any weight even when she tried to.

Ayton added that she did not think that drinking so much Diet Coke was unhealthy or abnormal and only when she commented on the habit to her hypnotherapist, she came to know that she was addicted to the drink.

“I went to see a hypnotherapist in August and told him. He was surprised and said I needed to cut it out of my diet. Since then I’ve not touched a drop. There were a few side-effects at first but now my head’s clearer and I have more energy. I’ve lost 5lb and am aiming for more”, she said.
