India’s oldest practicing physician and one of the leading cardiologists, Dr Keki Byramjee Grant passed away on Monday
India’s oldest practicing physician and one of the leading cardiologists, Dr Keki Byramjee Grant passed away on Monday evening due to complications following a respiratory illness. Dr Grant was admitted to the Ruby Hall Clinic on Sunday and was kept on ventilator at the intensive care unit of the hospital. However his condition worsened after the 90-year old complained of breathlessness and uneasiness and succumbed to his illness on Monday evening.
Dr Grant had suffered a similar respiratory problem back in November last year but was able to recover from it. Dr Bomi Bhote, the CEO of Ruby Hall Clinic praised the contribution of Dr Grant to the medical community in Pune, stating that he was responsible for bringing in a number of modern equipments to the city.
He is survived by his son, Dr Pervez Grant and daughter Zareen.
