Soon a health insurance coverage for urban poor Bangaloreans is set to be launched under the Pandit Deen Dayal Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Yojana.
Soon health insurance coverage for urban poor Bangaloreans
is set to be launched under the Pandit Deen Dayal Suvarna Arogya Suraksha
Yojana. This program will cover 198 wards in Bangalore. The Below Poverty Line
(BPL) families will be provided health insurance cards.
This scheme will cover
cardiovascular diseases, cardiothoracic surgery, neurological diseases, renal
diseases, burns, poly trauma cases, neo-natal cases, genitourinary surgery and
pediatric surgery, cancer treatment; including surgery, chemotherapy,
radiotherapy.
The total reimbursement that the scheme will provide for one family will be
around Rs 1.5 lakh. This amount can be availed individually or collectively by
members of the family.
