New IPad App for Dental Records

Edge EHR has announced the launch of a new iPad app which will allow doctors to access their patients’ record through their iPads.

Doctors can search through patients’ record through the edgeDMS app which is available through the iTunes Store. Different information such as patient summaries, detailed periodontal charts and even X-rays can be accessed through the app.

Tooth decay in toddlers, children and adults, also called dental caries, is a bacterial infection causing demineralization and destruction of the hard tissues of the teeth.

“edgeDMS for iPad also features an integrated picture and digital X-ray browser allowing providers to add, review and share intra-oral images, photos and digital x-rays with their patients at chair-side,” the company said in a press release.

With technology making rapid strides, dentists can now keep a track of all their patients, regardless of when they visited a clinic.
