Singapore restaurant Iggy's moved to the top spot from being number two last year, according to this year's ranking of Asia's top 20 restaurants by The Miele Guide.
L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Hong Kong slid to second place from being number one last year.
Six restaurants in Hong Kong were on the list, five from Singapore, there were two each from Indonesia and India and one each from Macau, Beijing, Malaysia, the Philippines and Japan.
Malaysia made it onto the list for the first time when Cilantro Restaurant and Wine Bar in Kuala Lumpur came in at number eight.
The Miele Guide said in a press statement that Cilantro's debut in the top 20 list proves "that Malaysia should be celebrated for more than just its hawker cuisine".
Another newcomer was Dum Pukht in Mumbai at number 17. It joins Bukhara in New Delhi which slipped to 14th place from 11th place last year as the only two Indian restaurants on the list.

Antonio's was the only restaurant from the Philippines to make it onto the list, rising to 5th place this year from 17th place last year.

Beijing Da Dong Roast Duck Restaurant in China rounded out this year's top 20 list, which is based on votes from Asia's most respected restaurant critics and food writers as well as from The Miele Guide's invited jury.
This year's edition of The Miele Guide features 450 restaurants in 17 countries.
