When husbands and boyfriends complain of having a cold, women's sympathy for them doesn't last more than five minutes, says a new survey.
A new survey has revealed that women have no patience for husbands and boyfriends down with the common cold. In fact, their sympathy doesn’t stretch to anything longer then – 5 minutes!
The survey, of a total of 1,300 adults of both sexes, was conducted to mark the launch of the product Lemsip Max All in One.And the poll revealed the unsympathetic nature of women to their partner's complaints when they suffer from cold.
In the poll, a total of 52 per cent of women claimed that they lose sympathy with their husband or boyfriend within five minutes of his first complaint about feeling under the weather.
Men, on the other hand, claimed they are prepared to take time off work to care for their suffering wives or girlfriends, cooking meals and cleaning the home.
The poll revealed that females would rather avoid sitting by their man's bedside mopping his brow, quite unlike what the traditional stereotype suggests.
Almost 18 per cent women who polled revealed that they start from an unsympathetic point of view.

Those who polled suggested that the reason behind this discrepancy may be that men could be keener to see their wives or partners get well soon so that they can get back to do their domestic responsibilities as soon as possible.
