It has been proposed by the Jharkhand government to donate nearly 100 acres of land to guru Baba Ramdev to exploit the potential of Ayurveda. The yoga guru has also been invited to set up a facility for manufacture and marketing of Ayurvedic medicine preparations using the abundant state reserve of medicinal plants.

The government is likely to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ramdev next week when he arrives here for a yoga camp at the invitation of the state government, according to official sources.

The land will be used by Ramdev's Divya Yoga Trust, located in Haridwar, to develop and market herbal and ayurvedic medicines.

The sources said the government has already initiated the process to acquire the land which will be handed over to Ramdev's trust.

''The draft of the land which will be handed over is being prepared by the animal husbandry and agriculture department,'' the sources said.
