Junior doctors of Post Graduate Institute for Medical Education and Research and Government Medical College went to Mansa Devi shrine and Gurudwara Nada Sahib to pray to God to give "wisdom" to those at the helm of affairs, PGIMER Association of Resident Doctors Vice President Dr Anindya Banerjee said.They also used the occassion to drum up support for their agitation by engaging in a campaign to educate devotees about the protest.
Meanwhile, health services remained affected in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh though emergency services were not affected.
The OPD services in the GMCH had been suspended to keep the operation of emergency services effective as the junior doctors continued their relay fast.
The doctors conducted special clinics at the PGIMER, officials said adding that the critical services including ICUs and OTs were maintained by senior faculty.
Several patients were treated today by handful of consultants at OPDs at the institute, officials added.
