Four Jaundice Cases Detected In Bathinda

Four cases of jaundice were detected here today even as health officials collected blood samples from 20 people suspected to be suffering from the disease.

Officials said a team of doctors that visited Baldev Nagar found four persons including two children were suffering from jaundice.

The deputy commissioner of Ambala and the civil surgeon visited the area as doctors collected blood samples of 20 suspected jaundice patients.

Officials said 15 water connections were disconnected as the pipes were passing through drains.

Around 5,000 chlorine tablets were distributed among residents of the area to purify water. The people of Baldev Nagar had been complaining for the past few days that they had been getting polluted water.
