A wall suddenly collapsed on a family in Karawal Nagar area of northeast Delhi resulting in the death of three children and two adults and injuring four others on Saturday . Apparently the family was sitting beside the wall of a school building, which had been constructed a few days ago. In a press meeting deputy commissioner of police R.L Meena said that the eight feet high wall of a school building was under construction and the cause of the collapse could only be determined after all investigations were finished. The police are in the process of tracing the contractor who was carrying out the construction at the school.
Rescue work was on as it was feared some more people could be trapped under the debris."We want to be sure that no one else is trapped," said Suraj Bhan, area additional station house officer.
He added that the injured have been admitted to the Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital and their condition was critical.
