A recent survey has found that many children under 16 are receiving treatment in UK hospitals for sexually transmitted diseases, and the youngest is a boy of 11, undergoing treatment for Chlamydia.

The report speaks of nearly 1000 children below the age of 16 who have been diagnosed with venereal diseases such as chlamydia, gonorrhea and herpes in the last three years.

The report also showed that chlamydia is three times more common in girls than boys and it becomes all the more important for schools and parents to educate children about safe sex.
