26-Year-Old Doctor Found Dead In Parking Lot at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Delhi
On august 1st, a 26-year old doctor's body was found in a car in the morning at a parking lot in Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, said hospital officials.
The doctor, Prakash P, was originally from Chennai committed suicide due to a failed love affair. But no suicide note was recovered said the police after initial investigations. The doctor joined the hospital two months ago and was working as a radiologist. Also it was noted that that the doctor was undergoing treatment for depression for the past one week in the same hospital.
The police were informed about the incident by hospital staff after which a team was dispatched to the staff. The police said that around half a dozen used injection vials were found near his body with marks on the right arm.
"The doctor was sitting on the driver's seat. His left hand was in a position as if he took an injection on the right hand. His bag was lying beside him while his coat was on the rear seat," a senior police officer said.
"Four visible injection marks have been found on the body. The car was first noticed by the guard at the parking lot around 7.30 a.m. He thought the doctor was waiting for someone. An hour later he got suspicious and after checking realized that something was amiss," said a senior health official.
The body will be handed over to the family and they may be questioned to seek clarity on the probable cause of the death said the police.
