5-day Lockdown in Sierra Leone
The Sierra Leone government has declared a 5-day lockdown in the country's Northern Province to step up efforts to contain the Ebola epidemic.
Alie Kamara, resident minister for the Northern Region said, "Within this period, no shops will be opened. No market will operate. No unauthorized vehicles or motorcycle taxis will ply the route in or outside towns and villages except those officially assigned to Ebola-related assignments."
