by Reshma Anand on September 1, 2015 at 1:42 PM

Ablegamers Charity launches a fellowship program for supporting game developers with disabilities. The AbleGamers Fellowship Program gives financial aid, internship opportunities and mentorship for these developers.

The venture aims to bring more disabled game designers into the industry. The charity is accepting applications for its two inaugural Fellowship grants through the end of October. Only two applicants who meet the eligibility guidelines will be selected by the Fellowship's selection committee.

The selected candidates will each receive a $10,000 scholarship, mentorship opportunities from participating game industry professionals and a chance to take a paid internship with Gigantic developer and program partner Motiga.

"This is just the beginning, as our AbleGamers Fellowship continues to grow and new partners come on board, we'll continue to enhance the program each and every year," said Mark Bartlet, founder, AbleGamers.
