A workshop was organized by the Delhi Metro museum for children currently undergoing treatment for cancer.

As part of the workshop, the children were taken on a Metro ride from the AIIMS station to the Patel Chowk station, and given a guided tour of the Metro Museum. They were shown a presentation on the basic facilities available in the Metro in case of any medical emergency. They also participated in a drawing competition. "Some short films on the basic etiquette of Metro travel were also screened," a Delhi Metro statement said.

Thirty children from ages three to 18, who are currently undergoing treatment for different stages of the disease, participated in the workshop. The event was organized in association with the NGO 'Cankids...Kidscan', which works for the welfare of such children.
