Around 10 Percent of Babies in England and Wales are Now Muslim

An analysis of census figures in England and Wales has found that nearly one in 10 babies and toddlers in the two countries are Muslim.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures showed that around 317, 952 children (9.1 percent) aged under five were registered as being Muslim in the 2011 census, News24 reports.

According to the report, the figure is nearly double the 4.8 percent of the whole population who are Muslim.

This illustrated the growth of the minority community in England and Wales.
