Be Prepared to Cough Up �80 as Fine for Swearing in Public

To check anti-social behavior, the government has decided to impose a fine of �80 on those who swear in public.

To check anti-social behavior, the government has decided to impose a fine of �80 on those who swear in public.

This initiative will be active for a month and officers in Barnsley, in South Yorkshire have been directed to keep a check on people.


If a person is caught swearing, the police will take initially take a mild step of advising the individual against it. If the person still remains uncooperative, the fine will be imposed.
