Cognitive Behavioral therapy has helped many obese people lose weight in a healthy manner.

CBT has helped people alter their thoughts and attitudes on eating and other lifestyle habits.

The study found that CBT also influences the rest of the family members as they also seem to pick up some of the finer points about tackling weight issues. Essentially, CBT seems to have a ripple effect on the families of obese.

Family members and adult children of obese patients undergoing CBT showed a positive change in their diet and lifestyle.
