Camellia Group to Set Up Medical College and Hospital in Eastern India
The Camellia Group has announced to set up a 500 bed medical college and hospital, a dental college and nursing college in Eastern India.
The Camellia Group has announced to set up a 500 bed medical college and hospital, a dental college and nursing college in Eastern India. This hub will be named as Camellia Institute of Medical Science & Research and the total investment required for the project is expected to be between Rs. 250-500 crore. The hospital is expected to be operational from February while classes will begin from august.
Chairman and managing director of Camellia Group, Mr. N.R.Dutta said, "The state government and the state health university have okayed the proposal to set up the medical college. An application has been sent to the Medical Council of India."
Initially the medical college will start with 100 MBBS seats which will gradually be increased to post graduation level and research. The dental college will offer Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course and gradually introduce the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) course with specialization in all branches of modern dentistry. The nursing college will offer courses like general nursing and midwifery (GNM), B.Sc nursing and M.Sc nursing. The college will collaborate with nursing schools abroad.
