CDC Data Shows Rates of Oral Sex Declining Among US Teens
New figures released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States show that the number of teenagers engaging in oral sex continues to fall.
The figures were part of the National Survey of Family Growth and reveals that the percentage of teenagers between 15 and 19 years of age engaging in oral sex fell from 55 percent of boys and 54 percent of girls in 2002 to 48 percent of boys and 45 percent of girls in 2010.
More than 6,300 people took part in the survey carried out between 2007 and 2010 which also revealed that 44 percent of boys and 47 percent of the girls had engaged in vaginal sex though the percentage of teenagers ever experiencing intercourse fell from 51 percent in 1988 to 43 percent in 2010.
