Chief Minister Launches Mobile App for Monitoring Infant Mortality Rate in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav launched mSehat, a mobile application to help health workers record real-time data of mothers and their newborn children.
mSehat app will aid in effective monitoring of infant mortality rate and strengthen data-keeping of rural health indices in UP. State government will start the training process for around 12,000 front line health workers (FLWs) to report, in real-time, reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child health and adolescent indicators from the state.
"Through the mSehat platform, FLWs will track registration, counseling, reporting, screening and referral of individuals from their remote locations. Medical officer in-charge will be able to monitor the progress of their work area through dashboard indicators, and reports will also be available to state level officials on real-time basis," said the chief minister.
The new project will monitor health records of 1 crore beneficiaries spread across five districts, including Sitapur, Kannauj, Bareilly, Mirzapur and Faizabad.
