Few days into the Newtown shootings, another concerned mother, voiced her worry and tension on a blog written by her about raising a mentally ill child, and her constant fear of the worst.

Liz long, the author of the blog post, titled "I am Adam Lanza's Mother", that went viral has revealed her sense of loss and confusion in dealing with abusive and violent behavior of her 13-year-old son. She explained her inability to pin-point her son's exact illness.

"Every time I hear about a mass shooting, I think about my son. And I wonder if someday, I'll be that mom," Liz Long expressed in her blog.

"Autism spectrum, ADHD, oppositional defiant or intermediate explosive disorder have all been tossed around at various meetings with probation officers and social workers and counselors and teachers and school administrators. He's been on a slew of anti-psychotic and mood altering pharmaceuticals, a Russian novel of behavioral plans. Nothing seems to work," she wrote.

She also feels at a loss with minimal choices for his care. She has sought to bring out the need for more mental health awareness and support in handling difficult cases such as hers. This blog has become a popular post online with many readers offering their comments.
