COVID-19: 805 New Cases Take TN's Tally to 17,082

Tamil Nadu continues to register rise in number of COVID-19 cases, with 805 people testing positive over the last 24 hours.

Over the last 24 hours, Tamil Nadu has recorded about 805 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases. Of the new cases, 93 are from other states, according to the State Health Department.

The number of coronavirus cases in the state has risen to 17,082. Death of seven Covid-19 patients have taken the toll to 118.

COVID-19 cases in India are increasing. Agra heaves a sigh of relief as the recovery rate touched 80. The total count stands at 837, of which 696 have recovered and the number of active cases is now 110.

However, 407 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the tally of cured people to 8,731. The number of active cases stands at 8,230.

On Monday, 11,835 samples were tested taking the total to 4.21 lakh. Testing of 606 samples are under process.

The state capital with its high density of population continued to see the largest number of infections at 548, taking the tally to 11,131.

Update on COVID-19 Cases in India
India broke its own 24-hour record today, adding 6,088 coronavirus cases in single day as the total number of novel Coronavirus cases touched 1,18,447.

The number of infected children in the age group 0-12 went up to 1,044.
