by Savitha C Muppala on November 24, 2011 at 6:19 PM

Junk food is still supreme for many British Youngsters as they are consuming deficient amounts of fruit and veg in their diet.

Of the 2000 11-16 year olds who took the poll by the British Heart Foundation, nearly 40% confess that energy drinks is an everyday feature. 29% consume crisps, sweets and chocolate more than three times in a day.

Nine out of ten children are not eating the recommended five portions of fruit and veg a day. Nearly one-third said they usually eat crisps for lunch.

The survey summarized that children's daily diet mainly consisted of crisps, fizzy drink, chocolate bar, and jelly sweets. This sure is an unhealthy trend.
