In a move which will prove beneficial to the needy, the Supreme Court of India has issued a directive to private hospitals in Delhi to offer free healthcare services to the poor by allocating 10% of their in-patient capacity and 25% of their out-patient department in the hospitals.
The Delhi government is awaiting a plan from the 2 7private hospitals in the city. The government hopes to have a proper scheme in place which will enable free treatment to poor patients at 10 percent of the hospital bed-strength.
