DSGMC Announces Health Insurance Scheme

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) announced a health insurance scheme called Guru Harkrishan Health Insurance Scheme for economically weaker Sikh families.

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) announced a health insurance scheme called "Guru Harkrishan Health Insurance Scheme" for economically weaker Sikh families.


The DSGMC has tied-up with Radiant B L Kapoor Hospital for starting the Guru Harkrishan Hospital, which provides free and subsidized medical treatment to Sikhs in Delhi.

DSGMC would get an amount of Rs. 25.5 crore from the private hospital which would be spent on education and health facilities.

DSGMC and Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) president Paramjit Singh Sarna said the "Guru Harkrishan Health Insurance Scheme" would provide medical insurance cover of Rs. 1 lakh to poor Sikh families in Delhi.

The Sikh families can avail free medical treatment in 150 designated hospitals in the capital.
