Ebola Outbreak Will End in 2015
Anthony Banbury, the outgoing head of the United Nations Ebola Emergency Response (UNMEER) has said that the disease will be ended in 2015.
The outgoing UMEER chief said that he and his team were engaged in 'an epic battle' against Ebola. He confessed that his 3-month mission to achieve the target of 100 percent safe burials and treatment of 70 percent of infected people had failed. He also said that the global response of the epidemic had been extremely successful.
Anthony Banbury reported that the Ebola epidemic has killed nearly 8,000 people since December 2013 in mostly Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea where the virus started.
