Fans can Vote Online in the New Season of American Idol

This may come as a piece of thrilling news to fans of American Idol, where they will be allowed a chance to vote online by using their Facebook accounts. This voting model will be available to fans once the latest season of the TV series begins in March.

Fans can log on onto their Facebook account and access the American Idol voting page to vote online. Each user can cast a total of 50 online votes.

American Idol creator and executive producer Simon Fuller said, "We've been wanting to do online voting for several years, and now Facebook has offered us a secure solution and we are ready to go. The show has always involved a high level of engagement with its viewers through texting and phone voting, and it's great to expand on this tradition."
