FDA Approves ARTAS Hair Restoration System

This is indeed good news for men with androgenetic alopecia, regular male pattern baldness.

ARTAS system, developed by Restoration Robotics, has received approval from FDA and is a boon during hair transplantation procedures.

The system is used to harvest follicular units from hair-bearing skin and further implanted into the bald or thinning area of the scalp. Once this procedure is done, hair growth may begin in 3-4 months.
