FDA Gives the Nod for Sanofi's Intradermal Flu Vaccine

According to a recent communication, The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Sanofi Pasteur's intradermal influenza vaccine, which is also the first flu vaccine in the United States.


"The microinjection delivery system utilized in Fluzone Intradermal vaccine provides reliable and easy delivery of the vaccine into the dermal layer of the skin, an attractive site for immunization," Olivier Charmeil, Sanofi Pasteur's president and CEO, said.
