A complaint has been filed to the medical authority against a senior resident doctor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for molesting an eight year old boy.

According to the complaint made by the boy's father, the doctor sexually harassed the boy just a day after his surgery. The doctor took the boy out from the ICU into his duty room and sexually assaulted him.

In the complaint filed to AIIMS Committee, the boy's father said, "After sexually assaulting my son, he (doctor) threatened him with dire consequences and said he would not be discharged if he mentioned the ill-treatment to anyone. My son was very afraid but confided in his mother on the 24th of Jan."

A statement was released by AIIMS administration in response to the complaint made:"We are in receipt of your complaint against a senior resident doctor from the department of neurosurgery regarding forcing your son to indulge in a sexual act during his admission. Since the complaint is of a very serious nature, we have forwarded it to our committee for investigation."
