First Indian Dentist to Lead Asian Prosthodontic Academy
Asian Academy of Prosthodontics has an Indian President for the first time, Professor and Head of Prosthodontics, Sri Ramachandra University
Dr.T.V.Padmanabhan, Professor and Head, Dept. of Prosthodontics, Sri Ramachandra University (SRU), Chennai is the new President of the Asian Prosthodontic Academy and the first Indian to hold this prestigious post.
Dr.T.V.Padmanabhan took over this mantle in the 7th Biennial conference of the Asian Academy of Prosthodontics (AAP) held in Shanghai, China recently, a SRU release said today.
Dr. Padmanabhan is the immediate Past President of the Indian Prosthodontic Society and is a reputed clinician, teacher and researcher. He has conducted lectures and courses on various topics with particular focus on Implantology and has significantly contributed to improving the quality of dental care in India. He is the executive councilor and regional representative of the Asian Academy of Osseointegration.
In 2012, the 8th congress of the AAP will be held at Chennai in conjunction with the 40th Indian Prosthodontic society annual conference, the release said.
