Navjot Singh Sidhu, former Indian cricketer and a famous TV personality has been suffering from a life-threatening disease called acute Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). He has been undergoing treatment at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.

Recently, he was given a sweet surprise visit from former Indian captain and his fellow teammate Mohammad Azharuddin. He has been making steady recovery and doctors say no surgery or intervention has been planned for now.

No visitors were allowed to meet Sidhu at the hospital but Azharuddin barged into his room claiming that "my brother is inside". Nevertheless, the authorities gave him permission to visit after Sidhu's family agreed.

Fifty-one-year-old Sidhu expressed his delight on Twitter after meeting Azharuddin and wrote "Old Gold, Old Wine, Old Friends - Still the Best!"

DVT is caused by a blood clot in a deep vein which hinders the normal blood flow. The symptoms may include swelling, pain and tenderness often in the legs.
