Hay Fever Allergy Extends Longer Than Usual in UK
This could possibly be the longest hay fever season in more than two decades, and certainly not very good news for nearly 15 million Britons who suffer hay fever every year.
Scientists said that the grass allergy season went on for more than eight weeks - which means the allergy season got extended by three weeks.
Usually, pollen counts are high between the start of June and the middle of July. This year, it has been different as they rose much earlier and stayed high for longer.
This means at least 25% of hay fever sufferers will be affected until the autumn.
