Hot Flashes- A Blessing?

A recent study has pointed out that the notorious �hot flashes' which troubles many women may actually be a blessing.

Those who have hot flashes at the start of menopause carry a reduced risk of heart attack and death than women who never experienced hot flashes or felt them during the late years after menopause.

The research which involved more than 60,000 women showed that those who experienced hot flashes during the late years after menopause carry a risk of heart attack.

Dr. JoAnn Manson, chief of preventive medicine at Harvard's Brigham and Women's Hospital said that this news shows that there is a positive side to experiencing these uncomfortable symptoms.
