Imperfect Smile Being Touted as the Next "In" Thing
An expert says that masses have now started accepting the imperfect, but natural smiles flaunted by celebrities like Keira Knightley and Georgia May Jagger.
Elleven, London's dental and orthodontic practice, has seen a sharp increase in the number of patients avoiding too perfect, overly white teeth and opting for their natural gapped, or overcrowded grins, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"It is not necessarily perfect symmetry that makes a person attractive and desirable. A beautiful face is one in which all of the features exist in harmony according to natural law, therefore, a person's smile must be in balance with the rest of the face," said Sameer Patel, clinical director at Elleven.
Apart from the new dental developments, there is also a rise in women embracing freckles and thick eyebrows.
