In Washington 'Obama Burger' Enduring Hit
An 'Obama Burger' has been made by a restaurant in Washington D.C. The burger which is made with a quarter-pound of Angus beef and topped with bacon, provolone cheese, caramelized onions, Russian dressing, lettuce and tomato, has been featured in the menu since the 2008 election.
"We knew that he liked burgers," Politico quoted Booeymonger co-owner Ron Vogel as saying.
However, Vogel also knows that health-conscious First Lady Michelle Obama might not approve of his recipe.
"It's got bacon and cheese on it, it's not exactly going to lower cholesterol, but its really tasty," Vogel said.
"I don't know that I'd get her approval on it, but President Obama would probably like it," he said.
The President's burger pitstops in D.C. are well documented.
In 2009, he ate at a Five Guys Burgers and Fries. In 2010, he stopped by Arlington's Ray's Hell Burger. But he has yet to swing by Booeymonger.
