InTone Muscle Stimulator to Control Incontinence

Women suffering from incontinence can opt for a new alternative aid after the US Food and Drug Administration gave its approval for Wisconsin-based InControl Medical's InTone muscle stimulator.
InControl said that the device is fitted with pressure sensors that check whether pelvic muscles are responding properly. The device offers visual biofeedback as well as voice instructions for the users to go through the 10-minute sessions which otherwise would have warranted a trip to the clinic.
The device also comes with customizable settings and records the progress of the user which can then be accessed by a physician in order to further adjust the settings based on the progress. Stating that the device is the only one which combines muscle stimulation and biofeedback, InControl's CEO Herschel Peddicord said, "InTone is a true medical breakthrough, and welcome news for the millions of women who have incontinence issues."
