A new study has found that the risk of obesity is high for people with a family history of alcoholism.

This makes sense, as in both cases, it is the same area of the brain that is involved in enabling the so-called rewarding' experience which causes people to seek more of it.

The risk was much higher for women who had alcoholic family members which increased their chances of obesity by 49%.

The connection between alcoholism and obesity is more evident due to the trend of junk food consumption.
