Unfairly enough, there are few sexual services readily available for women seeking paid sexual gratification - or even easy ways to have extra-marital affairs, the Japan Times reported.

If a man is well-connected and wealthy, he can even register himself with a members-only club and be matched up with a perfect mistress.

There were sexual massage services for ladies, and not so long ago there was a brief boom in take-out hosts. However, there is nothing close to the male-centered sex industry accounting for 2 percent of Japan's GDP.

Japanese wives do have affairs but are just more discreet.
