Just to Seem More Refined 1 in 3 Men Lie Finds Study
A new study revealed that 1 in 3 men pretend to look more intelligent and cultured than they really are.
But only 14 per cent of women admitted that they try to act more educated than they are in reality, the Daily Express reported.
The survey, which was conducted by the internet search engine Ask Jeeves, found that twenty per cent of fake intellectuals pretended to favor Beethoven over Beyonce.
The study also discovered that talking loudly about politics, re-tweeting a social media post on metaphysics or pretending to be a wine buff, were other little acts of make-believe.
One in four has even visited an art gallery just to give themselves more cultural credibility.
The research also revealed that two-thirds fake it with friends, 36 percent do it to impress colleagues and one in three will put on an act when meeting a prospective new girlfriend or boyfriend.
