Mali Declared Ebola-Free

Mali has been free of Ebola by the Malian government and the United Nations on Sunday. Not a single Ebola case has been registered in the past 42 days.

Health Minister Ousmane Kone said, "I declare this day... the end of the epidemic of the Ebola virus in Mali."


The head of the Malian office of the United Nations Mission for Ebola Emergency Response (UMEER), Ibrahima Soce Fall, confirmed the country had come out of the epidemic.
