A recent study conducted on a total population sample in South Korea has revealed that the rate of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in children may actually be much more than estimated.

Research also showed that one out of 38 children in South Korea has some form of autism, and girls also seem to be victims of the condition.

This does not mean that there is a surge in number of Autism cases, except that earlier many had escaped diagnosis.
