More and more people in Australia are using the mental health helpline to ask questions regarding suicide related problems

Another growing area of concern was calls related to work-place issues with employers wanting to know how they can support their co-workers who are suffering from mental illness. The report added that more than 43 percent of the calls were from well-wishers seeking advice for someone they knew while 38 percent of the calls were related to the individual caller.
A large number of calls are related to getting that somewhere to live, having jobs to do and then following that we would have people who are actually asking for information about how's and where's they can get treatment for their illness, SANE Australias executive director, Barbara Hocking said.
